Michael D. Wade
(Grand Rapids)
Michael D. Wade, a partner in the Grand Rapids office of Garan Lucow Miller, P.C., has practiced law since 1975. He graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1965, received an MBA from Western Michigan University in 1972 and a JD from the University of Toledo in December 1974.
A survivor of over 110 trials, Mr. Wade defends corporations, businesses and individuals in litigation of several types, including product, premises, automobile and commercial liability, including class actions, TILA and FDCPA cases.
He contributes to ICLE activities and has authored (w/Dennis Kolenda) Michigan Courtroom Evidence (4th Ed.), the Exemplary Damages chapter in Michigan Law of Damages, as well as approximately 20 articles in legal journals, including the Michigan Bar Journal, DRI’s For the Defense (“Jury Instructions in the Jury Room?”, April 1991), and MDTC’s Michigan Defense Quarterly (“Rule 35 Neuropsychological Exams - Should Third Persons Attend?”, April 2009).
Mr. Wade is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers in Michigan.
